We at Jensen Arms applaud your decision to carry a firearm for your personal protection. Most people are not willing to do what is necessary to protect themselves, their family, or even complete strangers in the face of a ruthless attack from a violent person.

The moment you're forced to draw your gun in self-defense, there are many crucial decisions that you'll need to make in a split second. It is critical that you fully understand the decisions you need make. Jensen Arms’ Concealed Carry Training will give you the answers to the toughest questions you need to face before being able to responsibly carry a concealed handgun and defend yourself.

The Concealed Carry Permit Class is an intense, four-hour comprehensive review of handgun safety and concealed carry law. Our class includes discussion on the laws for concealed carry and the use of deadly force, responsibilities of the concealed carry permit holder, pistol technique and different methods of carrying, how to choose the right weapon and ammo for you.

This class is designed for all levels of shooters (Beginners or individuals who have never shot before should talk with us about supplemental live fire training, after the class.) The classes offered by Jensen Arms in association with Rocky Mountain Firearms Academy meet the qualifications for Colorado concealed handgun permit and will give the student a completion certificate necessary when applying for a concealed carry permit.

Craig Miller

As the founder and lead instructor of Rocky Mountain Firearms Academy Craig is an advocate for you and your desire to exercise your Second Amendment rights. Craig is an active law enforcement officer with over 25 years of experience in California and Colorado. Craig has been a team member of SWAT entry operations and SWAT sniper operations and has earned 10 marksmanship awards. Craig is also a certified NRA instructor for pistols, rifles, and shotguns. Craig has instructed hundreds of youth and adults in the safe use of firearms both privately and through his previous business, Northern Colorado Concealed Carry. Craig donates his time every year to teaching girls ages 12-17 how to safely and accurately shoot .22 caliber rifles at a girl's camp in Wyoming. Craig has also taught Boy Scouts in rifle and shotgun shooting. Craig has been happily married for over 25 years and has five children. His wife and oldest son are Concealed Handgun Permit holders.

At the urging of friends and family Craig started teaching firearms safety classes in 2012. By virtue of his law enforcement experience he has always felt that a good guy with a gun is the best answer to a bad guy with a gun. This is why he wants to put as many guns as possible into the hands of responsible, prepared good guys (and gals) as he can. Craig's wife was faced with the possibility of a threat while she was carrying concealed, and because of the teachings of this class she was able to come up with a plan of attack and a plan of escape for herself and others. Thankfully the police arrived quickly so she did not need to act on those plans but she was ready if necessary, ready to act as a sheepdog among sheep, to protect them from a wolf.

Firearms safety is a misnomer, this class is actually about the most important safety consideration of all, your mindset. The class covers concealed carry laws, handgun safety rules, concealed carry and holster options, how to be a professional witness, how to conduct threat assessments, how to react to those threats, and what you can expect if you have to utilize your life-saving tool, your firearm. Most of all it awakes people to their responsibility to conduct their daily lives with the mindset of have keen situational awareness. This class is taught from the perspective of years of experience in dealing with citizens who have been involved in critical incidents. It is also taught from the perspective of a law enforcement officer who has been trained to use, and has used his firearm in defense of his life and the lives of others. This real-life experience is what separates this class from those taught by civilians.
